What is speech therapy (logotherapy)?

Speech therapy (logotherapy/λογοθεραπεία) is a specialized healthcare service that assesses and treats communication disorders including speech delays, language disorders, voice problems, fluency disorders (stuttering), and swallowing difficulties. At Talk the Talk Cyprus, our certified speech-language pathologists work with children and adults in Limassol, Ypsonas, and Paphos.

At what age should a child start speech therapy?

Early intervention is key. Speech therapy can begin as early as 12-18 months if a child shows signs of communication delays. Signs to watch for include: not babbling by 12 months, not saying single words by 16 months, not combining 2 words by 24 months, or difficulty being understood.
